In 1982 when I first encountered the island of Ailsa Craig I was househunting
in Scotland, a part of the world that I had never been to before. It was
love at first sight and I've lived here in Girvan ever since. It is my great joy
to look out to her every day(weather permitting!) and enjoy her many moods. Many
of my poems blend with my photographs, this one tries to catch some of her many
moods:
